4. MYTH: Picking off split ends can help.
TRUTH: This only makes things worse, because, by doing it, you are weakening your hair.
Those are some of the stories we have heard of. 🙂
Now, we resolve the mystery:
- CAUSES of split ends are: dry scalp, exposure to UV rays, the use of harmful chemicals and corrosive paints, lack of hair care, rough brushing and random hair cuts – using brush or fingers, using brushes made of metal and combing your hair while it is wet, the use of rubber band, often use of hair dryer.
Our warm & effective advises consider:
- hydrogenation and providing regular hair moisture;
- weekly scalp massage, by combination of coconut/olive/almond oil and hot water, after which it is necessary to rinse and wash your hair well, because of the fat they contain. Besides these, you can find some of the oils, specifically designed for this purpose – head massage;
- gentle brushing, regular movements from scalp to ends;
- keratin treatment and many other, which are deeply recovering weakened hair. What is also really important, is consulting your personal stylist about how to find a perfect rhythm, in order to find the right way for color & form, but about maintaining the vitality & health of your hair.
Always take care. 😉
